Buhari Government Forgives 586 Boko Haram Terrorists For Killing Thousands..... BRIFFIT PRESS

President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has granted amnesty to 500 Boko Haram fighters who surrendered to the Military willingly.

The Coordinator of the Operation Safe Corridor, Major General Bamidele Shafa, announced on Friday that over a thousand Boko Haram fighters have laid down their arms to embrace the Federal Government's amnesty program.

The program, which started in 2015 for interested members of the extremist group, is a strategy by President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure peace and stability in the NorthEast region. 

Major General Shafa's remarks on Friday came shortly after 586 "former" Boko Haram terrorists were brought to the Gombe International Airport onboard cargo planes
